Why being disciplined is a generous act.

March 14, 2021 by Dror Allouche Leave a Comment

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
– John Quincy Adams

When I saw my wife today coming back from a run in the snow, she looked great. Often the case with valuable activities. Hard to start, but you always feel better after.

How my wife inspired me, and why being disciplined is a generous act…

I’m in the middle of a heavy period at work. So I fool myself thinking that I have less time for valuable activities like running. But seeing her inspired me, and I went for a run.

Why being disciplined is a generous act.

Being disciplined, at first, is a bit selfish. You do things for you. But in fact, I see it as a generous act.

By doing something for you, you do good for yourself, and for the people around you.
As you are fulfilled, you are more present when you’re with your loved one. And you inspire them to take action.

Now that you know that being disciplined is a generous act, you don’t have any more excuses.
Go and do the right practice, the one that satisfies you. Who knows, you may inspire people around you.

How will you inspire someone today?
