In September, the markets fell again.
And not only a little.
The ETF VWRL which represents 80% of my stock investments lost -8.1%.
Its second biggest drop of the year ( after June -8.5%).
Overall I saw our global wealth melt by more than 5% over the month.
A small point in our favor, September is dividend month for VWRL.
So even though it’s down, companies are still making profit and sharing it.
So how does it feel to be a young FIRE in this environment (started in April 2022)?
It’s hard to see your hard-earned savings virtually melt away.
And at the same time, a (large) part of those savings were built on the previous falls.
Often the most significant falls bring the biggest recoveries.
But when will it happen Dror?
I have no idea. And I don’t think anyone knows.
I just keep my confidence in the passive investment philosophy and I’ll be there when it comes up.😀
Oh yes, I almost forgot, a little secret.
Don’t be unhappy when it goes down and too happy when it goes up…In both cases, it has nothing to do with you.
