Other People’s Routines Will (rarely) Work For You

December 21, 2022 by Dror Allouche Leave a Comment

On the web, you read a lot of advice about good routines to start or end your day.

They won’t work for you for two reasons. (at least)

  • Someone else’s glasses won’t correct your vision
  • In a world full of constraints, the ones that bring us happiness and meaning are those we impose on ourselves.

3 steps to create the routine that will work for you

  • Be inspired by others’ routines but do not copy them
  • Take the time to think about the routine that will serve you best.
  • Align your routine with your aspirations (who you want to be) and your ambitions (what you want to achieve)
