Most People Waste Time Pursuing Their Dreams Alone (Including Me, and How to Get There Faster)

January 14, 2025 by Dror Allouche Leave a Comment

At 23, in my first job, I secretly wanted to become a Managing Director.

It took me 14 years to get there (See How to get a promotion. )

Looking back, reaching that goal would have been faster with the right support.

A coach could have :

  • Listened to me without judgment
  • Challenged me like no one else
  • Told me the hard truths

3 Tools You Can’t Do Without to Accelerate Your Projects

1. Books:

The author has spent months, even years, trying to simplify a lifetime of experience into a 200-300 page book. The people around them have challenged them on the order, the format, the understanding.
Books are an excellent way to learn and progress. They condense years of experience and knowledge into a few pages. (Books I’ve read)

2. Internet in general

Online courses (how I went from B.1 to B.2.3 last year in German).
Tutorials, blogs, videos. It takes time to sort through, but you can find some excellent resources.

3. A coach.

It took me a while to use this solution. Probably because of “ego”.

“I’m a self-learner, I can do it alone.”

And it’s true. I just go faster when someone guides me.

2025 is a year where I don’t hesitate to ask for help to accelerate my projects.

I have two main objectives for 2025.

  1. Back to my 20-year-old body.
  2. Double my revenue.

For the first one, my wife is my inspiration and guide.
She motivates me to surpass myself.

For the business side.

I have a general coach who accompanies me.
And a specific coach to help me accelerate my visibility on LinkedIn.

Hiring a coach has a cost. Stagnation does too.
