How To Overcome Your Daily Fear And Anxiety. Have You Ever Tried The Post-it Method?

October 21, 2021 by Dror Allouche Leave a Comment

What limits our potential the most is the fear of making a mistake. It’s present in each of us at different degrees. And it’s the cause of many abandoned projects.

Have you ever heard of the post-it method?

It’s super complicated, it requires hours of preparation but it’s so effective…I’m kidding. 😀

You can try it in the next 5 minutes. I’ve been using it for years to overcome my daily fear and it helps me a lot.

How to overcome your daily fear and anxiety. Have you ever tried the post-it method?

Are you ready?

  • Take a post-it (still easy 😀)
  • Write down in your favorite color: “If I didn’t fear anything at all, what would I do? “
  • Stick it on your computer screen

Read this statement every morning when you start your computer…and every time you hesitate about your next action…

  • Your email is all ready to go and you hesitate to press “send”
  • You have to call a client, a colleague, you anticipate a complicated discussion, which scares you.
  • Your project file is finished, but you hesitate to ship it.

If you have not yet pressed the “send” button already. Your little voice is playing tricks on you. Ask yourself the following 3 trigger questions.

  • What is the fear behind this thought?
  • What is the worst case?
  • What can I do as a next step?

And now press “send”!

This little post-it in front of me has been helping me every day for years, to press, to meet, to have difficult discussions. And in the end, I can’t remember a disaster but rather many good moments.

Our fears are in our heads. They rarely come to reality.

Use the post-it method, overcome your daily fear and make your dreams come true.
