How To Create Simple Rules That Help You Win Every Day?

November 9, 2022 by Dror Allouche Leave a Comment

Hallelujah, it’s a good day to start

Why?

Because I decided to.

I’ve just finished my writing session before checking my blog stats, emails, and social media.

Every time I do that, it’s a small victory.

But my day was already good before. Why?

Because I set up even simpler rules.

  • Every time I get up
  • Every time I am healthy
  • Every time I see my wife and kids still sleeping peacefully
  • Every time….

“Every time”, I learned this secret from..

Tony Robbins in Awaken the Giant. A rule can make you stronger or weaker.

“it quickly became clear to me that the majority of people are wired for pain. Their rules make it very, very difficult to feel good, and very easy to feel bad.”
— Tony Robbins

I’ll be happy when I make zero mistakes in German (seriously? even native speakers make them), when my boss gives me a raise (you leave your happiness in external hands), or when the stock market goes up…

Good news! Your intentionality can change the balance.
Discover my Resource guide: The 11 books that have influenced my career the most. (Including my favorite of all categories)

How to create simple rules that help you win every day.

  • List the values that are important to you. Happiness, love, appreciation, curiosity, enthusiasm, determination…
  • A question: What needs to happen for me to feel X?  (replace X with happy, successful, disciplined.…)
  • Create simple rules (start with “Every time”) that depend on your control  (“Internal Locus”)

Don’t study intentionality, live it…
