A book that transformed my life is “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey.
Principle #2 is “Begin With the End in Mind”.
It’s obvious.
We all understand it intellectually.
We know we should do it.
But here it is….between the end of the year at work, the festivities, the unexpected, we end up neglecting it.
And then it’s not so bad, I get by every year “without” a plan.
Not this year. 15 resources to make 2024 your best year ever
This time could be the year you realize your dreams
- finally, learn that new language. 2024 is my year for German. My ambitious goal is to go from B1.2 to C1😀
- spend more time with your loved ones and create unforgettable memories
- start investing in your financial plan
- change job, company, career
- or start your own project
- take that trip you’ve been dreaming of for a while…
Put all the chances on your side and block a date for your most important meeting of the year. The one crucial meeting to have before closing your 2023 year. How to prepare for my 2024 year? (mine is the 17/12)
And yes it sounds hard, but we can all take back control. Why not in 2024? Could you drive again? How to stop living on autopilot.
There are different methods to prepare for 2024. One of my favorites is
The book “Hero On A Mission By Donald Miller” proposes his way to do it which I describe here. Become the Hero of your own story.
Or Marshall Goldsmith in his latest book with his very simple triple-A approach.
In the end, preparing for 2024 can be summed up as this.
So whatever method you choose, the important thing is to take time to reflect and put intention in your year 2024…
Now that you are clear on what you want to do, you still have to execute it.
Most of the projects end up nowhere because of a lack of execution.
So maybe these resources can help you.

And here, I don’t know of a better one than Marshall’s active questions. (check point 2 in the blog. “Active questions for the set up”)
In this video Marshall explains the 6 general questions. You can keep them in your plan. But ideally, you should add your own questions. The ones you are working on for making 2024. If you have decided to learn a new language, you might ask yourself, “Did I do my best today to learn German?”
You have everything you need to succeed. All you have to do is get started.
But remember…
